Duct leakage testing

Where ducts run outside conditioned space, the compliance model almost always depends on their leakage rate, and that rate has to be measured rather than assumed. We test to the applicable target, and where a system fails we tell the contractor specifically where it is losing air instead of simply reporting a number.

Blower door / envelope leakage

Whole-building air leakage testing where the compliance model relies on a specific infiltration rate. Increasingly common as envelope performance carries more of the compliance burden under recent code cycles.

Refrigerant charge & airflow

Split-system verification covering refrigerant charge, system airflow and fan watt draw. Undercharged systems are extremely common, and they fail both the verification and the occupant's expectations of the equipment.

Quality Insulation Installation (QII)

QII is worth real compliance credit and it is the measure most often lost, because it requires inspection during construction rather than after. Insulation has to be verified before it is covered. Miss the window and the credit is gone — which usually means remodelling the whole compliance approach.

Registration

Our raters hold the major industry certifications, presented on request, and results are registered with an approved data registry. Registered documents are what the building department actually checks at final — an unregistered PDF is not compliance.
