California Energy Code Compliance field testing for builders and contractors
Code-required California Energy Code Compliance field testing under the 2025 Energy Code for ADUs, additions, alterations, HVAC swaps and new construction — scheduled the same week and registered so final inspection is never held up.
Built around your permit
Verification scoped with the report, not after it
We identify every measure that needs verification when the CF1R is prepared, test at the right construction stage, and register the CF3R with an approved data registry — then send it to you and the building department.

Common questions
Answers before you book
What is California Energy Code Compliance?
Under the 2025 California Energy Code, required field verification is performed as California Energy Code Compliance field testing by our raters, who hold the major industry certifications (presented on request). It replaces what was previously called HERS verification for code compliance.
Which projects need California Energy Code Compliance field testing?
Any project whose CF1R lists verified measures — commonly new homes, ADUs, additions with new or extended HVAC, alterations with duct changes and HVAC changeouts. We confirm the list from your compliance documents.
How quickly can you verify an HVAC changeout?
Same-week verification is typically available statewide, seven days a week, with the CF3R registered as soon as testing passes. Call (213) 536-9392.
Are other tests included?
California Energy Code Compliance field testing covers the measures the Energy Code requires. HERS Index ratings, BPI, ASHRAE audits, ENERGY STAR and indoor air quality testing are additional services at an extra cost.
